Pulsifer Graduate Career Development Center Staff

The Graduate Career Development team has expertise across the business spectrum as well as specialized knowledge of industries aligned with Bentley’s MBA and MS programs. 

Laura Aiken, MBA ’06, BS ’05 Director, Graduate Career Development and LifeLong Learning

Laura has significant corporate experience working with Fortune 500 clients in her roles as a Senior Account Executive in National Accounts at Travelers Insurance and as a Client Relations Director at EdAssist, A Bright Horizons Company. She has worked closely with a broad range of professionals from actuaries and business analysts to insurance brokers and talent acquisition leaders, and is skilled in adjusting her communication style to creatively find ways to deliver measurable results. Her expertise includes career management, developing strong networking techniques, and building strategic partnerships with employers. Laura is a double Falcon, having received her MBA with a concentration in International Business and her BS in Economics from Bentley. She is passionate about working with students and professionals of all backgrounds and brings a global perspective having completed coursework in Belgium, India and Spain.

Lucy Amello, Senior Associate Director

Lucy brings 18+ years of recruiting and HR generalist experience from prior work with John Hancock Financial Services, Investors Bank & Trust, and Deloitte. Her areas of expertise — career development and training, cultural transition, orientation and on-boarding, and recruiting strategies — add valuable practitioner insights to her work. Lucy’s extensive corporate relationships developed through the years provide additional value for her advisees. She is multilingual and has traveled widely in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Her international experience includes living and studying in Brussels, Belgium.

Audra Boni, BS ’88, Senior Associate Director

Audra brings business experience to Bentley from public and private accounting as well as a recruitment perspective from her previous work in the staffing industry. Her past employers include Deloitte, Lotus Development Corporation, and Romac International. She spent a year in Japan with the JET Programme - - an experience that inspired her interest in all things intercultural. She provides support and guidance to our growing international student body via innovative career programming with culture as a central theme. In addition to holding a BS in Accountancy from Bentley, Audra is an alumna of the leadership-focused 2011 Fellows Program at The Partnership, a leading talent management firm.

Colleen Murphy, Senior Associate Director

Colleen Murphy is a Senior Associate Director of the Graduate and Alumni Pulsifer Career Development Center. Before this role, she was the Senior Associate Director and dedicated Career Coach for Bentley University Management and Professional Sales majors and senior students until fall of 2020.. Colleen also presents career-related programs, conducts outreach to a variety of industries and is a facilitator in the GCDI 501 course. Previously she was the instructor for the First Year Seminar and all level undergraduate Career Development Courses. .. Murphy has worked in higher education for more than 15 years.  

In June of 2012, Murphy was appointed as the Ferrera Fellowship Coordinator for the Gerald R. Ferrera Public Service Fellowship (established in June of 2012) that was created to offer Bentley students an opportunity to work for an international NGO, non-profit or government agency.

Before coming to work at Bentley University, Murphy worked as an Assistant Director of the Suffolk University Law School’s Career Development Office and Admissions Office. After completing her education, she worked for several years in the international shipping industry including the Ocean Brokerage department of a large Japanese company and later an American company where she imported goods for a national account.

Murphy holds a Master’s in Education, with a concentration in Administration of Higher Education, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Suffolk University. She was a member of the Network of Executive Women, Chicago Women in Publishing and the West End Civic Association.

Susan Poirier, Executive Administrative Coordinator

Susan is very passionate about the higher education industry and happy to be working in Graduate and Alumni Career Development after spending some time in the Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends and the office of Undergraduate Admission here at Bentley. Susan is a Waltham native, she and her husband live in Waltham and have three young adult sons, one of which attends Bentley. On weekends you can find her at the beach and/or antiquing!
