What was the job hunting process like?

I attended EVERY on-campus event hosted by Deloitte, PwC and EY in September and October, 2018 because I was sure that I'd like to work as a consultant after I graduate from Bentley. Going to all of those events really help me ask smart, customized questions to current employees and learn lots of resources about the positions before I talked to recruiters. Also, I could show my passion and strong interest in this field to my possibly, potential interviewers. After all, I received an offer both from Deloitte and EY, and I chose Deloitte.

Your previous experience for success:

Prior to Bentley, I had two co-op experience as business analytic intern at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Boston Consulting Group. I also had been actively participating in communities since my undergraduate study at Northeastern University to build my leadership skills. I was the founder and advisor of the Northeastern Big Data in Business Club. I believe these relevant internship experience and leadership roles showed my passion in analytics and soft skills to potential employers.

What was the interview process like?

I can talk about my interview processes for Deloitte and EY.

Deloitte had two rounds of interviews: two 30 min in-person interviews with a partner and senior manager, and two 30 min online interviews with a managing director and manager. All questions during the interviews were behavioral.

For EY, it had two rounds of interviews as well. The first round was a video recording with 5 to 6 behavioral interview questions. The second round was in-person interviews on site. It had two 45 min interviews with a senior manager and a partner, and then one 45 min case interview with a senior manager.

All interview questions for both companies were heavily focused on my previous internship experience, community leadership and skills.

Advice to fellow students:
