Program Description

Bentley HR’s Guide to Principles, Processes, and Systems for Managing Others

New Manager Orientation is held six times per year for new staff in a manager role, or current staff who have recently assumed a supervisory role. New Department Chairs Orientation is offered once a year during the summer months. The program is a three-hour session that covers basic information to get you up to speed on some of the responsibilities you need in your role, especially with respect to HR systems, processes, and procedures. This program covers topics such as: legal aspects of HR, managing leaves of absence, recruitment, performance management tools, and compensation. New Manager Orientation is also a good way for new managers to meet other supervisory members of the Bentley community.
