University-wide Title IX and Gender Equity Committee

The University-wide Title IX and Gender Equity Committee strives to create a supportive and nurturing climate and culture for students, faculty, staff, and visitors within our community where mutual respect, integrity and civility are fostered and where all individuals are able to live, learn, and work without discrimination.

We do this through provision of:

  • Programming
  • Awareness Initiatives
  • Education
  • Resources
  • Policies
  • Advocacy Efforts
  • Support for the University’s Title IX and Gender-based discrimination policy and resources on harassment, sexual assault, and relationship violence.

This committee’s work is guided by Peter Lake’s (2014) Four Corners of Title IX compliance, which encourages institutions to focus on the following areas:

  • Organization and Management
  • Investigation and Adjudication
  • Student Support
  • Campus Culture and Climate

These resource pages are designed to foster healthy relationships and support those who have survived a sexual assault or unhealthy relationship, as well as those who care about them. Included is information for students, faculty, and staff regarding resources, incident reporting, and how to help others.
